This is my seventh year of writing up the status of my books – see 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
After my retirement from writing children’s books last year, this was (not unexpectedly) a quiet year.
In August, my short story “The Whisperer” was included in the Best of British Science Fiction 2018, which is an anthology published by Newcon Press featuring stories written by British authors that were published for the first time during the calendar year of 2018. “The Whisperer” was originally published as one of the shortlisted stories in the Leicester Writes Short Story Prize Anthology 2018.
I submitted a small number of short stories to various places this year, but none of them were accepted.
In 2020 I may try to write some more sci-fi short stories.
